Sharing of Your Personal Information

Americares may share e-mail address and physical mailing address information, phone number*, and donation amount and history gathered from subscribers with third-party vendors who may share some of this information with other non-profit organizations or entities for fundraising purposes. *Americares will not share mobile telephone information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes of those third parties. And to the extent that you consent to our use of your mobile telephone information for our own marketing or promotional purposes, we will not share that consent with third parties.

Occasionally, Americares does exchange or rent mail lists to like-minded organizations through bonded third-party vendors. These organizations are never given direct access to Americares’ donor database. Americares itself screens each mailing before we allow it to be sent to our list. Should you not wish your information to be shared with or sold to other organizations, you may opt out at any time by contacting Donor Relations at  Our online donation form also explains the process for opting out and displays the e-mail address for those users who wish to make donations, but do not want to receive any additional information or other material from Americares.

Also, when you send a donation in honor or in memory of someone and request that an acknowledgment be sent to another individual/family, we will use the name and address of that individual/family for acknowledgment purposes only.
